Perfect Paving Required

Obviously quite different than a regular road but also very different from a NASCAR track! Congrats to Austin Bridge & Road to master the challenge for the Circuit of Americas track near Austin, Texas!! The shuttle buggy obviously played a big role for their success besides a heavy focus on paving quality!! That raises the question what are the best practices for any job and what are the best practices for more complex jobs?

When do you really need grade control, a sonic-tracker beam, slope, compaction control systems, shuttlebuggies, 3D or a thermal segregation measuring tools like a temperature infrared camera or Pave-IR?
