RIYADH: 321 vehicles fitted out by MOBA

Together with Geotech, its partner in Saudi Arabia, MOBA has recently equipped 321 vehicles with MOBA technology.

"The vehicles have all been fitted with the CG1 communication unit with sensors or directly received sensor signals. This equipment allows data on current work status or position, for example, to be transmitted back to base. The task of the new system is to allow waste management companies to document services provided. Because, although the service is free of charge for Saudis, where a complaint is made, we need to have proof that a service has been provided,"

explains Andreas Schmidt. For this reason, a contract has been agreed between local government authorities and a number of refuse disposal companies. The newly equipped vehicles included refuse collection trucks, road-sweeping machines, tipper trucks and other vehicles that may be employed in refuse disposal, such as wheel loaders, all of which can now also be located too.
