Sensor technology paves the way for better roads

MOBA is featured in this month's issue (October 2014) of Construction Plant News (CPN) - one of the UK's leading construction equipment titles.

The double-page story reveals how Aggregate Industries (AI) is using MOBA's thermal sensing technology to to help it build more durable roads, which in turn will make it far more competitive. The quality management technology also complements AI's process control procedures, which enables its project management teams to deliver improved site performance with enhanced site asset data, and also then allows it to support its clients with Building Information Modelling (BIM) - the truly hot topic now in construction.

According to Paul Collins, Performance Manager at Aggregate Industries Contracting, “Thanks to MOBA technology we can now provide our customers with an extremely accurate record of each Asphalt pavement we build. This perfectly fits into our BIM strategy which not only allows us to demonstrate the quality of our work but also gives the customer much greater confidence that works were completed as required along with robust data available to allow informed decisions on future pavement design.”
