Water scarcity is a problem the world is confronted with every day. Today, nearly 20 percent of the world's population are already suffering from water shortage. In particular, in African and Asian countries the situation is worrisome. Avoiding water wastage and using resources sparingly are therefore ultimate goals to adhere. Specifically, growing water-intensive crops creates a great potential for savings. Examples are the cultivation of rice in India or China, where water is often scarce, but water is essential to provide a good harvest. How can water be best utilized in those areas?
The solution lies in the appropriate preparation of the land. If the land is leveled and applied at the correct slope, the irrigation can be accurately distributed, creating a flat surface with no water loss, and excessively rapid outflow is prevented. MOBA’s solution is the leveling system Laser-matic, which is a reliable, easy-to-use system. It allows the blade of the tractor to automatically remain at a desired height. So, the land can be precisely leveled and perfectly prepared for cultivation and irrigation.
The Laser-matic includes a laser receiver and a stationary laser transmitter. The laser beam serves as a height reference - based on which the blade can be held exactly at the desired height.
The user interface of the Laser-matic includes:
In addtion to the Laser- matic’s laser receiver and stationary laser transmitter, MOBA offers a Dual Laser-matic. The Dual Laser-matic is the advanced version, including the Laser-matic, and adding two laser receivers and a tilt or ultrasonic sensor. Thus, the slope can be maintained steadily which is used to precisely implement a predetermined profile.
