MOBA leveling system used in Dalian Xinghai Bay oversea bridge construction of China

In the morning of 12th August 2015, invited by the sponsor Dalian university of technology, the participants for the 9th road and airfield pavement International Conference (ICPT) came to the Xinghai Bay oversea bridge construction site for observation and technology communication.

Dalian Xinghai bay oversea bridge, Dalian south Binhai Road oversea bridge is the first anchor suspension oversea bridge in China,t otal length of 6km, main bridge length of 820, main bridge span of 460m,both sides span of 180m respectively. The bridge starts from Jinyin Mountain on eastern side of Dalian Golden beach, across Xinghai Bay in the west,and land in reclamation area of High-technology pack, and it will become the important “vertical” of Dalian ""seven vertical and seven horizontal"" road network.

At present, Xinghai Bay oversea bridge is conducting the deck paving construction. According to Sang Luo associate professor of southeast university, Xinghai Bay Bridge Deck Pavement Material is Japanese hot mix of epoxy asphalt concrete, pavement scheme design is a double-layer heat epoxy asphalt concrete. On the paving construction site, visitors are curious about the detection equipment extent on Vogele paving machine. General manager Lee from Xinghai Bay oversea bridge headquarter introduces that this detection machine is PAVE-IR SCAN Asphalt spreading infrared detection system of Moba. Xinghai Bay oversea bridge deck paving construction is the first time for us to spread the new hot mix of epoxy asphalt concrete. In order to finish the deck paving with high quality and high frequency, we also install MCA-500, MCA-2000, two sets of roller compaction assistant system of Moba in the rollers, through digital control of the construction process, to improve the paving and compaction quality of the whole deck paving.

Later, with the detailed instruction of sales manager of Moba(Dalian) mobile automation Co.,ltd, the visitors understand the two types of advanced control system with Germany technology.

This system can monitor the temperature for the whole pavement, can record spreading rate and suspension, can adjust the monitoring range according to spreading width, can effectively guide the following compaction according to temperature data, also can be targeted for sampling analysis, so as to judge the quality of the paving and the length of the road service life.

Save the temperature data from monitoring as file, can check the paving data, temperature data, paving rate and the number of stops on the computer through PPM software, and finalize the quality report and find out the problems in the construction process through data analysis, optimize the whole construction process, achieve the information quality management in the whole construction process.

MCA-2000 roller compaction assistance system,through the GPS satellite positioning system, position and record the information of the compaction road accurately, at the same time record the current section’s asphalt layer compaction temperature data through the temperature sensor, after handling by the data processor, histogram represents the degree of compaction and compaction temperature and display on the controller, to solve unclear number of compaction, non-compliance of the paving construction due to too low temperature and the problem issue of overvoltage and leaking of pressure in long-term operation and night construction. Can transfer the compaction data into the computer and then get the analysis report, through which can check the compaction status meet the requirement or not directly, and can save the backup for later checking.

MCA-500 roller compaction assistance system uses dynamic testing technology, vibration roller in the process of operation transfers the energy to the asphalt layer,One part of energy is absorbed, and the other part is back to vibration wheel, the energy absorbed by asphalt layer means that the vibration is effective, improve the compactness of asphalt layer, through the sensor installed on the steel wheel vibrates in any time to continuously measure the acceleration value and vibration rate value of the vibration wheel, to calculate the effective frequency change status in the compaction process and then get the asphalt layer density change status.

Two sets of compaction assistance system record the number of times accurately, accurate if the compaction density meets the standard or not, avoid rework due to over pressure or under pressure. The infrared temperature sensor transfer the temperature change status of the pavement and prevent the pavement quality issue due to cold asphalt compaction. The accurate compaction control can reduce the number of compaction, so that reduce the loss of the roller and wastage of fuel, reduce the cost of the project, reduce the labor intensity, and become the good helper of driver.
