An invention from the USA just may replace the rolling of a classic curb. This Curb-Roller method makes carrying, stringing together and plastering of single stones no longer necessary. Instead, now the concrete pour to the edge of the curb is done precisely and with ease.
The method is quite simple: A cylinder in the form of curb will bring the machine to a rotation. The concrete pours between the fundament in the cylinder and distributes evenly and precisely to the desired surface. The curb can be poured at an impressive rate, meter by meter. This method not only saves time, and money for the customer, it is also less strenuous on a worker’s back.
The Curb-Roller method can be used in several different areas, such as communities unable to afford the expense to plaster, or on streets where common cobblestone is not necessary. As shown in the second video below, one can even use a template-roller method. Whether Germany will see the Curb-Roller method used in the near future is yet to be known.
