The waste market is on the rise with the desire for better waste management systems in cities all over Italy. Venice is one example where over 80 waste trucks were equipped with waste management systems in 2014. Big installations by well-known cities are spreading and encouraging other cities like Mira and Trentino to follow. Mira of Veritas with its 30 next truck intallations, and Tappeiner which won the last race in the district of Burgaviato, make not only MOBA Italy a major player in the development of the waste market in Italy, they also raising the bar for other cities. Here are some installation details which shows the complete range of sensors used and a particular mechanical modification to protect the antennas.

Where is that trend going? A gain in waste management systems are likewise also increasing the demand for weighing systems. The higher interest in weighing systems could also be seen at the fair Ecomondo in November last year. Good examples for the growing demand of weighing systems are the cooperation between MOBA and ID&A, where 15 new weighing systems for crane and truck applications in Val D’Aosta got installed. Additionally, weighing systems for dead animals also seem to gain more traction.

What is the outlook for 2015? Rovigo and Ferrara are the next cities willing to start the service of door-to-door collection in 2015. With these applications being installed throughout Italy, waste management will excel and making these application more common standard.
