In my opinion road construction companies have a wide range of techniques they can use to make sure paving work is accurate. But does the operator behind this technique interpret the results and measurements in the right way?
You need qualified operators who can estimate the measurements.
Furthermore there is the problem “time&costs”. Especially road construction projects are high pressure projects. Is it worth the time to find and repair every weak point? Short term profit vs. long term efficiency.

Don't we all want to do a great job and provide quality work? I believe most people would agree that quality work is important and that they deliver quality. BUT
